Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. The AP Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's outgoing payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments in compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high volume of invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents
Review and reconcile vendor statements
Handle vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments (ACH, wires, etc.)
Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and reporting
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to ensure efficient and accurate payment processes
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP procedures
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Excel
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
PAY DOE $24.00 to $26.00
